My best feature ;)

After a long tiring day,I opened the refrigerator and behind the butter, just near that red bowl hid a forgotten mango :) we exchanged smiles :) and slurrrp.....ssssllllluuuurrp....sslurrrppp ....i was in heaven next :)

Somebody once asked me about what according to me is my best feature....

I paused for a while and thought if tongue comes in the category of features....i think it does. The only time i don't talk is when i eat....so, mine is visible most of the times ;)

Imagine if there was nothing like taste....if we had to eat just to keep our body working...just like there is potting mix for plants,if we too had such big packets of "something" to feed us...and go back to work....no planning menus....no talking about eateries....no stealing recipes...

Imagine no aroma of freshly baked cake....no sight of butter paneer masala...life would have been totally miserable...no????

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it, which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called :)

At times i wonder how we don't appreciate these little blessings....

yeah u guys keep thinking about it,as my heart says if i move a few boxes here and there,i will definitely find one more mango in the refrigerator to sllllluuuuurp :)

There are two types of people in this world.... ;)

Heyyiiiiaaaa.......how zit goin???i heard a voice aiming towards me,while i was buying groceries in a supermarket..
I turned back, confused...to find a friend who came to this foreign land a couple of years back...
pheww, i smiled...
where are the cantaloupes??
kharbooja? i asked....
there was some silence, followed by a confused ehh...yeaahhh....i was all left to myself, thinking
if i was the only illiterate moving here!

The more you live in this foreign land, the crazier you become!!!!!

There are two types of people in this world......
Stop stop stop, this is a discussion of passe...
Discussion today revolves around...there are two types of Desi IT professionals, who have landed for the first time in America with their family :)
Group A who has just landed, say a couple of months or may be an year or two.
Group B who has been living here for over 4 years or more.
Qn. )Differentiate between group A and group B with relevant examples :)
Ans) Group A
the members of group A family are often found hovering in the clearance section of every shopping mall....the only mathematics they remember is multiplication by 50(dollar rupee conversion)...once their monthly salary arrives, they multiply it by 50 and with a huge grin, sign out of their Bank of America account....most of them don't own a car in the initial days...so are often found walking towards the nearest grocery stores....their topic of discussion usually revolves around the sites where they can watch Hindi channels for free, to amazing deals on buying a camcorder or laptop :)
Group B
The members of group B are often found swiping credit cards in Dillard's or Macy's :)
they start calling dollar a rupee....there hi often follows by "was sup this weekend"
Either they start talking in American accent or Hindi fulllll of slangs...now this contrast is above my understanding :) They usually discuss the latest trips or the 4 star cuisines....they now know, and can even pronounce the name of those typical Italian cuisines with ease ;)
ehm...ehm....
juggling between group A an group B is another group where I belong :) I will call it the "puberty" group :) just like a teenager who fits neither in the kids nor in adults ;)This group though has risen above the multiplication and division by 50, can't afford the luxury of expensive trips....this group has reached Kohl's and JC Penny, but Dillard's still gives them a *wink* *wink* *wink* ;)
And once this group is done with the home loan back in the country,VOILA they graduate to Group B :)
phew.....i quote again-
"The more you live in this foreign land, the crazier you become" :)

A couple of days back, around 2 am i opened a bottle of apple juice and sprinkled it liberally on my kitchen floor, switched off all the lights of my apartment, and went back to bed!
No No no no i didn't have a bad dream,i wasn't out of my head either!it was a well planned strategy for those tiny monsters whose existence accounts back to some 300 million years!appalled???
you crush it's back, or break it's head...the Mr brave, like the fighter at LOC moves on!the little blighters can eat anything and can live for months without food or water...and some of their females mate only once and stay pregnant for life!!!!!!!!!!
have i left you wondering of what will the apple juice do to these gallant soldiers???
by the way who are these heroes???
None else, the six legged critters-The cockroaches!!!
after pulling my hair apart and scratching my scalp i thought of this wonderful idea...
let me put it up like this-
i created quite a soothing ambiance for these gentlemen, tempting them to come out of their hides...one sip of the apple juice....
and there i was, with two bottles of "Raid", one in each hand....
psssst....pppsssstttt....pssstttttt...pppssssssssssssssstttttttt
i mercilessly sprayed the insecticide on possible every tiny one.....there was no looking back...
my heart swelled with pride, as i saw them dying!
EUREKA i did it!!!! and munched a kitkat as if celebrating my victory in the wee hours of night.....
but the very next moment, the coin turned...
"Happiness is short lived", i soon realised as one dead body suddenly turned straight, gave me a rather shrewed wink and ran away...
and there i was standing alone, gazing and thinking that isn't it indeed a compliment being called a "cockroach"!!!!

Mood Swings

Why do we have mood swings??
Why are the poor hormones blamed for our changing moods, and not the people or circumstances around us???
Is a person's nature defined by his surroundings, or is it all in the two hairy stands twisted together-the DNA!!!!
Ever wondered how complicated human "machinery" is.....
All the miniaturized electronic circuits....the megabytes,terabytes...aren't they just a joke when u compare them to how a human body works! My head has already started spinning as i imagine all my organs working in a sync.
The proud heart pumping lub-dub-lub-dub....the lungs moving up and down and up and down....my over sized stomach stuffed with hell lot of junk...the exhausted kidneys sifting waste....the lever tired of breaking down the fats...amongst all these, lies in the corner a relaxed gall bladder... smiling :)
Pretty much task,eh!
The guilt pangs trap me when i think of.... how hard my over a hundred lbs of flesh blood and bones work, as i shamelessly gulp down the samosas and pastries, and wish if i could get a few gol gappas too :)
err...what was i talking about Mood Swings???
nah....the last packet of little bytes blue berry muffin is calling me...GOT TO GO!!!! :D
